Born in the Spring of 2004, Pete & The ShortCummings were founded by 15-year Phoenix rock radio vet personality Pete Cummings. The initial intent was to provide a live promotional reinforcement of his radio show while doing afternoons at FM AOR station 98KUPD. What resulted has been nothing less than extraordinary. In just over a year, Pete & The ShortCummings have gone from weekend novelty to a sought-after, high-caliber tour-de-force with a shameless and virtuostic approach to covering the planet's best rock music. The meticulous passion with which the band approaches this task has resulted in opening slots for such international acts as Seven Mary Three, The Burden Brothers, Soul SirkUS (featuring Journey's Neil Schon & former Whitesnake bassist Marco Mendoza), Queensryche & Judas Priest at 20,000 seat venue Cricket Pavilion, and most recently Styx, Alice Cooper and members of Tesla at The Dodge Theater. Pete & The ShortCummings have been in constant demand locally as well, playing live shows at clubs like Martini Ranch, Alice Cooper'stown, Joe's Grotto, Famous Sam's, O'Kelley's and Cactus Jack's. Crowds rave and critics praise the four guys and their faithful renditions of the rock music everyone loves to mouth the words to while clutching their favorite beverage. Pete & The ShortCummings are the perfect catalyst when you want your club, group or function to cut loose and embrace the moment with the reckless abandon that rock music has always been about.
